Pink is the new Blue

Jennifer, my friend from my book club, is expecting her third child next month. She already has two boys and is about to welcome a little girl to her family. We decided to throw her a surprise shower and Lisa came up with the cute idea to have a "Pink is the new Blue" party (playing off the book we just read - Orange is the New Black) So cute!

First time for everything

While at a recent playdate, my friend's daughter feel asleep on the couch amidst the noise and chaos of a busy home. I commented that my children had never "played themselves to sleep." I guess today Elizabeth wanted to prove me wrong. I went in to check on her since I hadn't heard any noise in awhile, and she had fallen asleep on the floor! There is a first time for everything!

Philip starts Pre-K!

I can't believe Philip has started his last year in preschool.  Even though this was his 5th First day of school, he cried and carried on Monday morning because he didn't want to go.

When I picked him up Monday afternoon he told me, "I cried so much this morning Mommy but I ended up loving it!" When Jackson asked him about it, Philip said the same thing. I guess he surprised himself by enjoying the day!

When we got home from the Adult portion of small group tonight, we were told there would be a special performance by the boys. Camp, Jackson & Philip put on a show! They dance to Toby Mac's I want a Mac and "Ionic" (known to most people as Eye On It)

1st day of 1st grade!

Jackson started 1st grade today! He was so excited and practically ran to the bus. He was all smiles getting on the bus and thankfully, all smiles as he jumped off! Here's to a great beginning of his 1st grade year!

The first grader picked dinner and so we headed to "Welcome to Moes!"

Jackson and I headed to the 1st grade Open House at W.E.S. We knew one little boy from church who would be in his class but both he and I were anxious to see if there would be any other friendly faces in his room.

When we found the classroom, I searched the list on the door for names I recognized as Jackson walked in. Before I could finish reading the list, Jackson spotted Lane, a friend from last year, in his room and happily ran over to him.

What a great feeling to know he will be in class with one of his Kindergarten buddies!!! It made him feel better (and Mom too!).
