Chick-fil-a
A new Chick-fil-a has opened right down the street from Jackson's school. I think I see lots of breakfast adventures happening here since we will be driving this route to Oliver until 2027!

Before you go!
Gerald is a published author! We are so very proud of him!
Dedication of the Book
This book is dedicated to my mentor, friend and brother, Wesley Bender. Thank you for believing in me when no one else did. For showing me what it truly means to follow Jesus and for praying for me, since my freshman year in high school. Because of your investment in men, I know Jesus today.

FHS Class of 1998 Reunion
Tonight was Wesley's 20th High School Reunion. It was fun to meet several of Wesley's high school friends. We didn't stay long though at the party because it was really really loud in the room! We are really getting old!

Kindergarten Switch Up
Due to an abundance of Kindergartners, GES had to add a new Kindergarten class and Elizabeth was chosen to switch classes. She hated to leave Ms. Deyss but was very excited about starting with Ms. Campbell. Elizabeth is such a trooper and is happy no matter where she is! Now to pray for Ms. Campbell. She started the year as a 3rd grade teacher and moved to Kindergarten over night.

The new normal
The new normal for Wesley and me is 2/3 of our heart will be heading to Granbery Elementary and the other 1/3 will be at Oliver Middle. I so wished that they would have one year together under one roof but MNPS splits off at 5th grade. So, here is our new normal.
Since Middle School starts an hour after Elementary, I think there will be lots of breakfast treats in store for Jackson as we wait to drop him off!

2018 Back to School
I knew this day was coming but in all honesty I didn’t think it would come so quickly! It’s funny how fast you go from being centered around feeding schedules, nap schedules and play groups to being controlled by the school calendar. It seems like yesterday I was filling my blog with all the fun things the kids and I did through out the day. Looks like now my days will consist of getting three lunches packed; kids out the door; go to work; and repeat.
Since my days won’t be as action packed as before, I am hoping to spend time updating this blog. The past three years haveprovided so much transition that I am way behind! Maybe the kids going back to school will be the jump start I need to look back and reflect.
So I will start here with School Pictures:
Jackson - age 11; 5th grade (Mrs Cacho)
Philip - age 8; 3rd grade (Ms Richardson)
Elizabeth - age 5; kindergarten (Ms Layton Elizabeth Dyess)
