Philip's 3 year check-up

It was a rainy day but we bundled up and headed to the doctor for Philip's 3 year appointment.

As usual, he was all smiles at Dr. Thomas's!

Hair Cut

Jackson needed a hair cut so I decided there was no harm in trying to cut it myself. I promised him a trip to Target for a toy if he would cooperate with me. He did great and I think it turned out okay! Maybe with a little practice I could even try Philip's thick, wavy hair.

Happy Birthday, Philip!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Philip! You are such a delight to our family. Thank you for filling our life with smiles and laughter. 

You love your sister, but we must always be on our toes when you are around. You do everything at 100% and that can turn bad very quickly...

We headed to Pepperoni's for Philip's birthday dinner. 

He got a tattoo from the waiter for his birthday.

The entire family joined the fun.

After dinner, we came home for Philip to open his presents!

Philip's 3rd Birthday party

For Philip's 3rd birthday, I decided to throw a Breakfast themed party. He LOVES breakfast time and especially cereal so I thought he would enjoy having his friends over to play and have some of his favorite breakfast foods.

The kids enjoyed playing together and eating TONS of doughnut holes while the Mommies enjoyed drinking coffee, eating some mommy-friendly breakfast foods and catching up.

For his cake, I made pancakes out of a cake mix and stuck a candle on top. It looked much better in person than this picture and it was yummy!

Happy Birthday, KD!

KD and Grammy come in for a visit last night. They are on their way to the beach and stopped by for a night of fun. The kids had a great time playing with Grammy and KD.  Philip and KD played Disney World and Jackson took on Grammy in a game of indoor basketball.

While they were here, I made KD a birthday dinner. We pulled out the Pioneer Woman cookbook and enjoyed a feast.

Philip put KD on a wheelchair (aka his tricycle) and asked Wesley to push him around Disney World.

For dinner I made spaghetti and meatballs 

And the most delicious chocolate cake!

Graceland

Today was Philip's first time in Graceland! He turns 3 on Thursday so we went ahead and "promoted" him to the 3s class at church. He was ready to be out of the nursery, and since Wesley and I were in Graceland today, we thought it was perfect timing. 

He did great in there with the big kids. I was so proud of him. Of course, having Jackson in there is always a plus. Philip loves doing anything his big brother can do.

Home Depot Craft - February

After the boys had so much fun at the Kids' Craft Day in January, we decided to make it a monthly event. Wesley had a board meeting for Meals By Grace & he could take Elizabeth so I took the boys to Home Depot.

I really enjoyed the morning. The boys made Valentine's Day card holders. I think they enjoyed it as well, but I know I wasn't nearly as much fun as Daddy. It took me several attempts to get the piece nailed together.  But by the end of the morning though, I think it could be said that a fun time was had by all!

 
While working on the craft, I realized that Jackson shares my love for People Watching.
