Breakfast with Santa

This morning, Jackson's school hosted a breakfast with Santa. Wesley had a meeting at church so the kids and I went. We enjoyed donuts, face painting and crafts but never met the Big Man.

Philip's Christmas Performance

The holiday season would not be complete without a Preschool Christmas show and tonight was Philip's performance. Most of his teachers and even a few parents remembered "Meltdown 2013" so we were all waiting on pins and needles to see how Philip would do this year. He is another year older and wiser and did a beautiful job! No stage freight this year! We were so proud of him and his classmates.

Jackson was asked by Mrs. Karen to handout programs before the show. He was tickled to be asked to help!

Tooth Fairy

For the past two years, whenever Jackson went to the dentist, he would ask if any of his teeth were loose. The dentist always replied that all his teeth were securely in place.

This month however, when he went, they found a VERY loose one!! It wasn't even a week after his dentist appointment that his tooth came out while eating lunch at Subway.  He pulled it himself! Yay Jackson. I guess we will be meeting the Tooth Fairy tonight!

Pink Pig

Four years ago, Kate and I jouryned down to Lenox Mall in Atlanta to take the kids on the Pink Pig. I thought it was about time we went back!

Philip & Elizabeth - 2014
This time, the big boys were at school so we made the trek to Buckhead with the littlest ones, and brought a few new friends along for the ride.

Giving Smiles

We attended a service at Mountain Lake Church this December and during the service, each person received an envelope with money. The amounts ranged from $1 - $50 and we were charged with using the money to bless others.  Wesley and I received $6 so I brainstormed ways we could include the boys in using this money.  I decided we would use our six dollars to bake some smiles.

Each boy was to pick one person they wanted to give a smile to. Jackson selected his bus driver, Mrs. Cathy and Philip picked his Sunday school teacher, Mr. Andrew. We went to Publix and each boy selected a cake and icing to bake. We then went home and made the cakes.

Jackson gave his to Mrs. Cahty at the bus and said "I wanted to make you a smile" She loved it.

We had to drive Philip over to Mr. Andrew's house. He is a high school boy who helps in his Sunday morning class & had been very sick. He loved getting the cake and Philip definitely left him with a smile.

Christmas Lights

We had a new addition to our Christmas decorations this year: A reindeer!

Family Pictures

My friend Kimberly offered to take family pictures for us and I was excited to get some nice shots for our Christmas cards.

She did a beautiful job... but, of course, she had some cute models :-)

I narrowed down the field to my 14 favorite!
