Mommy and Elizabeth Weekend

While the boys were gone to Alabama for the Landmark retreat, Elizabeth & I enjoyed a nice quiet weekend at home. We watched some UT football and did some Christmas shopping!

Dentist

It was Dentist appointment time so I decided to kill two birds with one stone & schedule Philip and Mommy's appointments at the same time. I thought Philip would do okay without my being right beside him, and I was right. It was a great experience.

Elizabeth & I took Jackson the next day, and it didn't go as well. It was hard to get him to sit down for the cleaning and he refused to do the Xrays. Thankfully, we have the most patient dentist and he arranged for Jackson to sit in the cool Xray machine when he realized Jackson wasn't having the normal way!

After the appointment Wesley met us for lunch to help calm mommy's nerves!

Happy Halloween!

I worked really hard on the Halloween costumes this year. I bought Jackson and Philip exactly what they wanted and planned Elizabeth's costume accordingly. I should have known by the time Halloween came around, they wouldn't be interested at all in their chosen costumes!

I begged and pleaded to have the kids wear their costumes just once for a picture, and thankfully they agreeed. I got some great pre-Halloween pictures of the crew!

Halloween was low key for us this year. The stomach bug was going around so noone came over in case we were contagious. Philip and Wesley were the only ones affected until 8:30 Halloween night, when I got hit!

Baby Girl Maloney's Shower

Today was our friend, Alisa's baby shower. Alisa and Bob are in our small group and are expecting their first child, a girl, in early December. I was so excited to celebrate this happy time with Alisa today!

Kristy made these cupcakes to go along with our bunny theme. She is SO talented!

Hair Cut

Jack and Lynne graciously agreed to bring Jackson all the way back to Cumming on Sunday and stay to babysit on Monday night. Wesley had a Y event so we were able to go knowing the kids were in safe hands.

Since Jack and Lynne were already planning on being in Cumming, I asked if I could make an appointment for a much needed haircut. They said "Sure!" so I made plans to get a new fall due!

When the lady brought the color out, I thought it was fitting that it looked like the perfect fall shade of pumpkin. Thankfully though, it didn't look like pumpkin when she was done.

 

Jackson heads to Knoxville

Grammy and KD invited Jackson to come to Knoxville for the weekend alone! I knew he would have so much fun but it was hard to let him go by himself! We met up with Grammy and KD in Chattanooga for the "exchange." He was so excited.

Nashville

I don't remember the corse of events that led to the agenda of this weekend, but it all started when Wesley was asked to speak at the North Boulevard (Murfreesboro, TN) Fall Retreat. He said, "Yes," and the weekend evolved into fun for all.

Jackson was asked to come solo to Knoxville to spend time with Grammy and KD. Elizabeth, Philip and I hitched a ride to Nashville.  And Wesley headed to Lynchburg for the retreat.
