A Magical Time at Sea!

For Christmas 2012, Jack & Lynne surprised the family with the announcement we were going to go on a Bender Family Cruise the summer of 2014. When the annoucment was made, July 2014 seemed so far away! I can't beleive it has come and gone!

The trip truly was magical!

Best travel pit-stop ever - Cracker Barrel

We all arrived in Florida on Friday night & spent some time on the beach. It was the first time Jackson, Philip and Elizabeth had seen the ocean.

Early Saturday morning, we hopped on the Hotel Shuttle and headed for the ship!

Even the "wait" was enjoyable! There was so much to see and do as we waited to board.

First stop on the ship - lunch! Then a "Sailing Away" party.

There was so much to do on the boat that even after a week we hadn't seen it all!! Here are some of the highlights:
Dining

Pirate Night

Elizabeth wasn't a fan of the long dinners so she only joined us for a few.
Most of the time, she dined in the nursery.
Our waiters even surprised us by knowing Jackson's birthday was coming up. We celebrated the last night!

Relaxing on the Deck

One afternoon, Jackson shared the pool with one other boy!
We realized that the best time to enjoy the deck was when everyone else was out on a shore excursion.

 Excursions

We only went off the boat for a few minutes at the first stop, and didn't even get off the boat at the second. We found the best time to enjoy the ship was when everyone else was enjoying land.

Cabin Life

Philip & Mommy ordered Room Service one afternoon and watched Cars while Elizabeth napped
