Ending the year at Disney World!

2020 was quite the year. We started off with:
The impeachment trail of Donald Trump
Witnessing a house fire in the neighborhood next to us
Ms. Sue recovering from a stroke.
Then March hit:
Wes sufferer a 3rd degree burn
A tornado hit Nashville
Covid became a real threat -  schools closed in person learning, the city went on lock down, hospitals hit capacity.
We opened "Covid Academy" and finished 1st, 4th, 6th and my 1L year from home.

Some school districts started back in person in the fall, but MNPS did not. Apart from a 6 week run where Elizabeth went into 2nd grade, we have all be home -  learning, living and working in the same environment day after day. We needed a get away!

So we planned a New Year's trip to Walt Disney World. Traveling for fun during a global pandemic might not have been the safest choice, but we needed family time in a different place focusing on fun. And our happy place is Disney World!

No plane traveling for us - Hitting the road for a 12 hour trip!

Welcome to Moes!
Cotton Candy dipped cone from Dairy Queen for a snack
We knew we had to find a hotel room before we made it to Orlando
so night one was the Red Roof Inn
It was cramped but it served its purpose - a place to crash!
Breakfast at Denny's

One more hour of driving and we were in DISNEY!

We checked into our cabin - 2213!

First on the agenda - Disney Springs!
