North Carolina Weekend

It was a Bender family road trip to North Carolina this weekend. The first stop on any Bender road trip is of course, Krispy Kreme!

Poor Elizabeth had to watch them eat the doughnuts in the car. She didn't get hers until we stopped.

Wesley was in a dear friend David's wedding so we all headed up to Charlotte for the weekend. Shannon & Ron offered their home as our central meeting ground which was a huge blessing. We dropped the kids off with them (and Jack & Lynne) on Friday and headed to the rehearsal in Salisbury, NC. Mark, the groom's dad, got us a hotel room for the night so we were able to stay in the area Friday. Saturday morning, we slept in (Whoo Hoo!) and then got Wesley ready for the wedding.

It was a beautiful celebration of two people who were made for each other!

A bonus of this wedding was the Sister-In-Law of the groom - one of my dearest friend's Erin! It was so good to see her and catch up! I miss her, her husband Daniel and babies Elizabeth & Benjamin so much!

Halfway through the reception, we left Salisbury and jetted back to Shannon and Ron's. Macey was in a school play Saturday night and we were hoping to make it back for it. We did and were so glad we got to see her perform as a jailbird!

Macey is no longer a little taller than me - she's inches taller! When did this happen?!?!

Sunday we were able to relax and spend some quality time with the family.

Macey is a varsity cheerleader and showed off her moves for us. We found her old Mustang outfit and Elizabeth joined the cheerleading fun!
