Today was Jackson's Bus Round Up and Kindergarten Open House. Most Kindergarteners had Bus Round up a few weeks ago, but we are blessed that both beginning-of-school events happened on the same day.
Ms. Kathy, Jackson's bus driver, picked Jackson and Mommy up & took us to the Elementary School. We were able to learn about Ms. Kathy on the short drive - This is her 30th year driving a bus and she lives and grew up on the land across the street from Jackson's school!
Wesley waited at the bus stop with Philip and Elizabeth but after we pulled off took them to the Wyatts so he could join Jackson at the Open House.
At the Open House, we met Ms. Edge and some of the kids in his class. Thankfully, we know 2 of his classmates from preschool. After a "meet and greet" with Ms. Edge, we went to the cafeteria to sign up for the PTA and put money in his lunch account.
Then, Jackson and Mommy went back to the bus and rode home. It was a successful trip and now, we have one VERY excited little boy waiting for Kindergarten to start.
