First Day of Kindergarten!

Today was Jackson's First Day of Kindergarten. He woke me up several times during the night to make sure he hadn't overslept. When it was finally "Go Time" he was all about it. He got dressed, brushed his teeth, and ate breakfast quickly (He usually dottles all morning long!)

When we headed to the bus stop, I figured we would find the 3 kids who rode the bus with us on Tuesday. I forgot all the elementary children would be waiting AND the high school kids who get picked up a few minutes before the little ones. I was quite surprised when I turned the corner and saw a large group gathered.

Thankfully, we spotted Joey and his family and went to wait on the bus. As the bus pulled up, I took Jackson aside and said what I told him in preschool: Be kind, use your manners and remember God and Mommy love you.

I wasn't emotional when he jumped on to the bus but seeing Wesley get choked up almost broke me! He held it together so I was able to as well.

We waved good-bye and went back in to figure out just what we were going to do without Jackson around all day.

My baby is growing up!
Philip figured out what he was going to do all day - play with Jackson's Star Wars toys! He enjoyed it but I could tell he missed his playmate.
