My sister and I stayed the night with Philip. Nurses and staff were great. We just met with the doctor. His remarks after looking through all that happened over the evening were that Philip had a "very good evening." Today's goal is the same as last night -- maintain great stats, keep him relaxed and let his body fight the good fight.
Story to share: when the respiratory people suction his mouth, he tends to wake up a bit and acts as if he is going to come after the nurse and possibly all the nurse's family smile emoticon. We don't want him to wake, but it was nice to see him open his eyes, move his whole body (even lift his head) and then calm down when he heard me say, "Philip, calm down, no problem."
