Pokemon

During Jackson's Kindergarten year, he learned about Pokemon. He soon figured out there were hundreds of different cards out there and it became his mission to collect, trade and hoard all of Philip's until he had a perfect set.

Here's something we have learned about Jackson - when he likes something, he isn't content with just having one of that item. He wants all of them. He has a vast collection of: Lego sets, Disney pins, Cars cars, bouncy balls, Football action figures, & Skylander Wii figures.  It makes it easy when getting birthday and Christmas presents because we just add to what ever his current obsession is, but it makes for a lot of the same things around the house!

Now that we are over a year into this Pokemon phase, it's a little embarrassing how many he owns. He has hundreds!

Wesley couldn't take Jackson just having the cards and not doing anything with them, so he told Jackson he would learn how to play the Pokemon card game (who knew it was a real game!). Wesley printed off the 46 page instruction manual and he & Jackson have started battling each other.

They are enjoying the time spent together learning this game and I am enjoying finally having a reason for all the cards that have taken over our house. Now if we could just figure out something to do with all these bouncy balls.....
