Friends

One beautiful thing about having a baby is seeing the outpouring of love from your friends and family. Wesley and I have been so blessed with our "blood" family who have all been able to love on Elizabeth, Jackson and Philip over the past several weeks.

We are equally as blessed with the support system here we are surrounded by every day. Our Georgia Family has loved on all of us during Elizabeth's birth and throughout our 8 years here.

As I was looking back at all the people who brought us food and came to Elizabeth's shower, I was humbled by how many of our friends have been with us throughout our journey into parenthood. Many of the same ladies who celebrated with us at Jackson's shower in 2007 helped welcome Elizabeth into our family as well.

We treasure these friendships & are so grateful for all those who may not share our blood line but share with us as we "go through life." Thank you, God, for the blessing of friends and family!

One of the many meals our friends brought us.

This is from Jackson's shower in 2007.
So many of these girls (Ashley Howard, Allison Moore, Priscilla Daniel, Amy Valderrama, Ashley Wyatt) joined us...
For Philip's shower in 2010.
We also have been blessed with new friends along the way (Here we added Katey Smith and Kate Hazlewood)

Then, in October, so many of these girls once again joined us for Elizabeth's shower (But I didn't get a group shot of her shower!) The overflowing of love and support from these ladies and their families has been a huge blessing to us!

Elizabeth

As I was trying to catch up on my blog for 2012, I loved looking at all the random "life" pictures we took of Elizabeth:

Grammy commented on how perfect Elizabeth's head was so I had to capture a picture!

Elizabeth and Philip

Philip and Elizabeth have a different relationship than Jackson and Elizabeth. Where Jackson adores her, Philip just wants to play with her. I see them being big buddies as she continues to grow.

The sweetest part of their relationship comes when Philip says her name. It is ALWAYS - "Hey Elizabeth! Hey Sweet Girl!"

Story Time on the bathroom floor!
Story Time is over - let's play!

What you can't see here is the look on Elizabeth's face. Usually when Philip comes around, her eyes say "Help Me!"

Jackson and Elizabeth

One of the most beautiful things I have witnessed since bringing Elizabeth home is the relationship she has developed with each of her brothers.

Jackson ADORES Elizabeth. If you were to look up the word "adoration" in the dictionary, I wouldn't be surprised if you saw a picture of Jackson and Elizabeth. Their relationship is so beautiful and I tried to capture it the best I could in pictures:

I wish I knew what he was telling her here!

Our Boys

With Elizabeth's arrival, there have been few pictures taken of just the boys...here are 4 I could find from the past few weeks:

Jackson loves face painting!!
Something is wearing these two out. Maybe they aren't getting a full night's rest just like Elizabeth and Mommy aren't!

More Visitors

So many friends and family have come to see us over the past several weeks. We tried to take pictures of Elizabeth with all her new friends. Here are some snapshots from the end of 2012:

Mrs. Edith
Quinlyn - she came all the way from Oregon to see Elizabeth!

Miss Minutha couldn't stay away long - she came by for another visit
(It was during this visit that we planned our impromptu Disney trip!)
Mrs. Robin
Mrs. Mary

Miss Addie
I told Addie she could hold Elizabeth but not the "stinky" boys!

Mall Trip

We headed to the mall for a New Year's Eve outing. It was so crowded but we enjoyed our time leisurely strolling the mall.

The boys found a BusyTown Mystery ride and spent some time "riding" in it. They also enjoyed playing on the new iPads while Elizabeth and I cruised around Williams Sonoma.
