Thank you, Firemen!

I baked brownies and Elizabeth made a card to take to both Fire Departments who helped with the house fire near us. Watching them bravely attack the fire was something I will never forget, and we wanted to thank them for making sure the fire did not spread to any other house in the neighborhood!

Chattanooga Girls Trip

Since law school interfered with our weekend tradition of Christmas Village, we rescheduled for the first free weekend in January. Unfortunately, Laura could not get away until Saturday morning and Lisa had to be back Saturday night...so Lisa and I explored Chattanooga Friday night. All three of us played around on Saturday afternoon and Laura and I enjoyed Saturday night and Sunday morning! It was the perfect getaway!

Lisa and I explored the Bluff View Art District and sampled some yummy desserts.

We walked around and then took in a late movie - Knives Out.

Once Laura arrived, we took her back to the Art District...for art and more dessert.

Lunch at Tupelo Honey

We said "Goodbye" to Lisa before heading out for dinner at Stir

Whaaps!

I receieved a call from GES while sitting down to lunch in Chattanooga. Elizabeth was in an accident at school. Oh No! I could not get ahold of Wesley so Aunt Emily had to come to the rescue! She packed up Nolan and headed to school to pick up an injured Elizabeth. She had fallen off the monkey bars and gave herself a black eye!

Neighborhood House Fire

Wesley got a call from Kent. He was driving on the interstate and saw a lot of smoke coming from the direction of our neighborhood.

We looked out side and sure enough something was on fire at the top of our hill. We went out to investigate and call 9-1-1. The house backing up to our neighborhood was on fire!

Thankfully, no one was injured but even dispute the heroic actions of the fire department, the house was lost.
