Just the 4 of us!

Wesley had to go to Augusta, GA for a 2 day work conference so I was solo with the kids for the night. We enjoyed a dinner out at Moe's and then dessert at Menchies. The dinner was fabulous but we ended up leaving dessert rather quickly because of 3 impending melt downs!

Best way to travel is with your "Wobble Goggles" (Imagination Movers)

Welcome to Moe's!

Baby Dedication

Today was Elizabeth's dedication at Grace Chapel. Wesley and I are blessed that each of our children were able to be dedicated at the same church. What a joy to stand before our church family and say we are dedicated to raising Elizabeth in the church and ask that they be with us as we journey through parenthood.

Nursing Home SInging

Our small group wanted to do a Service Project together so I organized a little outing to the nursing home near our neighborhood. Jackson visits this home frequently with school and enjoys it. I thought it would be a great kid friendly project, and I was right.

The kids performed some songs. Then we pulled out the hymnals and sang some "church" songs with the residents.  We had fun and since the Activities Director called us back and asked us to return, I guess the residents enjoyed our being there too!

After the singing, we all headed to CiCi's for lunch. What a treat and the perfect place for our group of 11 kids and 10 adults!
Elizabeth stole the show at the Nursing Home. Wesley used her as a prop to sing a song with the kids and everyone loved it!

The kids ate and then went to the arcade to play!

Dentist

We moved Jackson & Philip from their pediatric dentist to my dentist. I wanted to all be at the same place and I wanted the kids to be able to stay with the same dentist as they got older.

We all had appointments today. I took Jackson out of school for his appoirnemt. Then after school, Philip and I went together.

Jackson did okay at the dentist. He was not interested in getting x-rays but did okay during the cleaning.
He got this finger light for doing so well.

I let Philip play on my phone while I got my teeth cleaned. I guess he wanted to document me as well!

Philip did great!!!
He also god a finger light for doing so well!

2nd Annual YMCA Race!

This afternoon, Philip, Jackson & I participated in the 2nd Annual race at the Forsyth YMCA. Last year, Jackson ran in the Tot Trot. It was great but since I knew he could do more since he did a mile with Wesley in the fall, I wanted to sign him up for the Youth Race instead this year. The Youth Race was for 6 and up but if I agreed to run with him, I could register him for the one mile race.

It began at 2:00. We lined up and when they said "Go!" Jackson took off! I slowly ran behind him hoping he would eventually slow down! He did slow down and walked a few times, but most of the race, he was running very quickly! I one point, I told him to pace himself and he said, "I don't want to be last!" It was a great opportunity to say that someone had to be last.

We continued together until the last hill when I let him run ahead. He was a few steps ahead until he saw the finish line and he TOOK OFF! He was going so fast! I was so proud of him!

Finishing Strong!
After the race, Philip told me, "Mommy, Jackson beat you like a drum!"
Philip's race was next and he was all lined up to take off until Y Bear made his appearance. We knew Philip didn't particularly like Y Bear but we didn't know the extent of his dislike until he refused to run if Y Bear was running. He climbed up Wesley and asked to leave! We picked up Elizabeth from the child watch and headed out...the whole time reassuring Philip Y Bear was no where around!

Jackson was going to run with Philip until....
He saw the Bear!
So excited to run before Y Bear!
