Elizabeth

Now, I recognize that I am probably an impartial judge BUT...have you ever seen a more beautiful almost 3 year old?

You can put a dress on a girl but you can't get her out of the dirt!

The Calendar - by Philip

This weekend, Philip was talking to us about dates in October.

He said:
"After the twentieth, is the Twenty-Oneth and then the Twenty Twoth."

Hair Cut Day

I was watching Leighton today for Emily and she came along as I took Elizabeth to get her haircut. Emily said Leighton could get one too so I enlisted some help from Mimi and we took the girls to the "beauty parlor"
Elizabeth arrived in her Halloween costume and camping headlight!
She cracks me up!
Beautiful Girls!
After Mimi left, I took the girls to Panda Express for lunch - it was an adventure!

Bus Riders!

One of my favorite parts of the day - when these two jump off the bus together!

Fall Break

This week was Fall Break for the boys. We had several things to get accomplished during the week but Thursday was reserved for Fun Day!

We started Fun Day off by visiting the Ronald McDonald house. When Philip was in the hospital, we lived 45 minutes away from the Children's Hospital. Some parents don't have that luxury. They live miles, hours, states away. The Ronald McDonald house provides housing for those parents who need a safe, inexpensive place to stay for the duration of their child's hospitalization. I wanted to show this House to the boys and see if there were ways we could volunteer in the future. The boys did great as we got a tour of the facility and they even were able to play with a brothers and sister who were there while their other brother was at Vanderbilt.

After that, we headed to lunch at Elliston Place. I had never been to this Nashville staple and it was a fun, casual lunch break.

Then, we headed to the Parthenon! I had told Jackson about the Parthenon in Nashville and about the statue of Athena inside it. He was fascinated by it and wanted to see if it really was a big as I had eluded to.

I don't think it disappointed!

We didn't stay long at the Parthenon - once they saw the statue they were ready to go! But it was a fun experience and I was happy to show them some Nashville history.

They have so much of their Daddy in them!

Break in the park
There was an old plane and train in the park that we had to explore

Bunny Loftis Auction

Tonight my parents joined us at the Bunny Loftis Auction at church. It was a fun, fun evening with the highlight being a Tennessee Waltz with Elizabeth & PopPop.
