Elizabeth meets Mrs. Trisha!

Today we met Ms. Trisha for lunch at McDonald's. I was looking forward to the lunch because Elizabeth hadn't met Patricia yet. I knew she would love Patricia just like Philip and Jackson - and I was right!

The boys always love lunch with Patricia because she surprises them with the neatest new toys:

Jackson enjoyed showing Elizabeth how to play with her new doll

Visit with Aunt Alice and Great Pop Pop

Susan and I decided to visit Aunt Alice and Great Pop Pop today since they were not able to be at the birthday party Saturday. It was a crowded house with all the cousins there but I know Aunt Alice enjoyed seeing all the kids. Pop Pop didn't know who we all were but Wesley patiently sat beside him and explained how he was related to all the madness.

Rebekah modeled some of Aunt Alice's dress up clothes.

The boys loved riding on Great Pop Pop's chair lift

Rebekah wanted to hold Elizabeth but I caught her sleeping on the job!
Benjamin was happy just eating his Birthday cake!

Showers for Baby Leighton

I have been lucky enough to be able to join Emily for 2 of Leighton's showers. One was hosted by her "Turkey" friends and the other was her church shower. Both were very nice and Leighton was showered with many nice presents. It is great to know that Emily, Ryan and Leighton are surrounded by so much love.

One of Emily's friends from church gave Leighton this adorable Owl Hat!

Joshua and Caleb's Championship Game

Joshua and Caleb's team made it into the championship game for their basketball league. Wesley and I were thrilled that we were going to be in town to watch the game. Jackson was so excited to see his cousins play his favorite sport. He and Pop Pop worked on signs that Jackson used during the game.

The other team won the game but both boys played excellent. Joshua even scored a three-pointer at the buzzer before half time that had us all on our feet (and had Joshua smiling the entire game!!!)
It was so much fun to watch and cheer them on during this important game.

Happy Birthday, Philip and Benjamin

Since we were in town for a shower for Baby Leighton, Susan decided to host a joint family birthday party for Benjamin and Philip. It was a great night!

Other than major holidays, Wesley rarely gets to enjoy family get togethers because we usually plan them when I am in Nashville and Wesley is traveling. This weekend, he was with us and we were able to celebrate as a family. It was great!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Benjamin!
Happy 3rd Birthday, Philip!
Too much party for Elizabeth!
This is where you can ALWAYS find Jackson - watching basketball!
Susan made the most AMAZING cakes for the party!

Drubby and all his great-grand kids - soon there will be one more!
Rebekah is the best Elizabeth holder ever!
I had to include this picture only because it made me laugh!

Richardsons

On our "Must Do" list for this Nashville trip was visiting with the Richardsons. I have known this sweet family for many years. I was their first (and #1) babysitter while in High School, and we remained close through college. I took my first job at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society because of their involvement with this charity through their son Brooks. Even after moving to Atlanta, we have stayed close and I have loved seeing them at church when we visit with my parents.

Sue, Lee and Grandma hadn't met Elizabeth yet so I made it a top priority to go see them at their home.

The boys loved Forest and Brooks' old toys that Sue brought out for them to play with...I think Wesley did too!
I loved watching our girl smile!
