I got the call yesterday after dropping off the boys at preschool that Emily had been having contractions since Tuesday evening and had finally dilated to 4 centimeters so they could admit her.
I couldn't believe my baby sister was having a baby and I wasn't there so....I packed up our things, picked the boys up from school early, and headed to Tennessee!
I was hoping not to miss the birth and thankfully for me, I didn't. Unfortunately for Emily, she continued in labor until early Friday morning.
After a total of 51 hours of contractions and 45 minutes of pushing, a beautiful Leighton came into the world!

| I got to see Emily for 20 minutes Thursday night. She was in a lot of pain so I only stayed a short time. They gave her 2 epidurals and she still felt it all! It is quite amazing what she was able to endure with will and determination! |

| This picture makes me laugh!! Ryan has refused to change any diapers for his nieces or nephews so when Leighton needed a diaper change, I returned the favor and made him change it! He did a great job but I snapped this photo at the moment! Love his facial expressions! |
